Dale grew up surrounded by the property insurance industry his entire life as his mother spent all of her career as an executive in charge of claims for some of the largest property insurance carriers in the country. Dale’s knowledge encompasses all facets of the insurance industry; from estimating to sales to adjusting and, most recently, as co-owner of the fastest-growing public insurance adjusting firm in Texas. His experience includes deployment on more than 20 different hurricane events, 30 flood events and thousands of residential and commercial fire losses. Dale possesses tremendous “hands-on” working knowledge of the first-party property claim recovery industry. He is supported by his loving wife, Geri, and their two adult children, John, a recent LSU graduate, and Katheryn, who currently attends Texas State University.
Maddie is a native Houstonian and comes to us with 5 years of bookkeeping and office personnel experience. Before joining the team at Crossroads Insurance Recovery Advocates, LLC, Maddie attended Lone Star Community College where she gained the incredible skills she now contributes to our diverse team. Her responsibilities include payroll, data entry, bookkeeping, customer service, record keeping, and contents claim adjustment. Maddie possesses the stamina, motivation, and ingenuity required in this demanding and challenging industry. She enjoys attending concerts, working out at the gym, and playing with her children. Maddie resides in Katy, Texas with her beautiful children, Aiden and Avery, and her sweet dogs, Gunther and Athena.
Deidra’s tenured background in the insurance, construction and mitigation industries adds to the extensive credibility of the entire Crossroads team. She possesses more than 17 years of experience in the preparation support, and final adjustment of both residential and commercial claim recoveries. Before joining Crossroads, Deidra was a commercial claims adjuster for one of the nation’s largest insurance carriers, working in their large-loss division. She maintains a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of insurance claim adjustment, as well as the mitigation and reconstruction of both residential and commercial properties. Deidra earned a Bachelor of Science degree in law enforcement and police science from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She currently maintains her Property and Casualty Adjusters License for Texas and resides in Northwest Houston with her husband, Peter, and son, Colton, where she devotes her leisure time to family and the rescue and fostering of homeless and injured pets available for adoption through Dori’s Darlings.
Jessie Hernandez is a 40-year-old Richmond Native. He is a veteran salesman with a passion for construction. His devotion to building strong relationships with his clients has earned him a reputation for always putting his customers first. He loves bourbon and bar-b-que. A self-proclaimed serial hobbyist, Jessie enjoys working out, duck hunting, smoking meats, premium watches & gun collecting. Jessie also loves traveling and the outdoors. He abides by the motto, “live life to the fullest.” As an amateur photographer and licensed remote aerial vehicle operator, Jessie brings a bevy of talents to your claim and works hard to ensure you get everything you’re entitled to. Jessie is married to his best friend and has 4 loving daughters.
Amy, a 21 year old native Houstonian, came to us after amassing 28 hours at Lone Star College in general studies. Being around the insurance and restoration business where her father worked for 14 years, she became interested in learning more about the industry. She impressed us all by quickly obtaining her public adjusting license and becoming certified in IICRC Fire & Smoke Restoration. She uses her fresh perspective to help navigate policyholders with their contents claims, and is ever expanding her knowledge with each new job she takes on. Although new to our company, she is never far from the talented and experienced team members who are eager to help her in her blooming career. She currently resides in Spring, where she spends time nurturing her beautiful one year-old daughter, Alessia.
Cody Vise is a second-generation public adjuster with a strong commitment to advocating for policyholders. His youth was marked by witnessing the treatment of policyholders by insurance carriers. Presently, he is dedicated to vigorously championing my clients’ interests to ensure they receive the rightful settlements they are entitled to. He takes great pride in my profession and would greatly appreciate the chance to showcase the capabilities of our team at Crossroads. He was born in Sacramento, raised in Ohio, grew up in Texas. He has 2 dogs. A German Shepherd/Husky/Lab and an American pit mix. He likes golf, shooting pool, extreme sports (especially snowboarding). He’s also interested in cultures and languages and currently learning Spanish. He’s big into movies and likes comedy shows. Cody has a bachelor’s degree from University of New Orleans.
John Terry is a public adjuster with over 5 years of experience helping clients recover from property damage and losses. As a second generation adjuster, he joined the family business in 2018 after graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in International Economics. John is committed to providing exceptional customer service and maximizing financial recovery for clients. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active with Brazilian jiu-jitsu training, playing the drums and piano, and spending time with his dachshund Maeve. With his experience and personable nature, John is an asset to clients navigating the insurance claims process.
Miguel is a first-generation American and dedicated Public Adjuster at Crossroads. Despite being new to the field of public adjusting, Miguel’s strong work ethic and rapid learning capabilities truly set him apart. Prior to his role at Crossroads, Miguel’s journey led him through the University of Houston’s Moore’s School of Music, where he pursued music education. He refined his trumpet skills under the guidance of Houston Symphony trumpet player Robert Walp and showcased his musical talents in diverse ensembles, including the Spirit Of Houston marching band and Jazz Orchestra.
Miguel’s interests span a wide spectrum of activities that reflect his well-rounded personality. With a love for the outdoors, he can often be found cycling through picturesque landscapes or capturing the world’s beauty through film photography. He’s equally passionate about crafting melodies on various musical instruments and embracing the vibrant energy of the live music scene. Miguel’s dedication extends beyond his professional pursuits, as he also enjoys pushing his limits through weightlifting, demonstrating his commitment to both physical and intellectual growth. His dynamic background, enthusiasm for learning, and unwavering commitment to clients make Miguel Portillo an invaluable member of the Crossroads team.
