Frequently Asked Questions

What value does the percentage use?

This tool uses the Coverage A or total insured value you enter. A commercial per-building illustration uses each building limit separately when that mode is selected.

Does a percentage deductible determine payment?

No. It only illustrates the dollar deductible. Coverage, exclusions, limits, causation, and policy wording still need review.

Why compare the estimate with the deductible?

It shows whether the entered estimate is below the illustrated deductible. It does not decide whether a claim is covered or how multiple buildings are adjusted.

What record proves the input?

Use the declarations page, current schedule, statement of values, endorsements, and repair estimate that support each field.

ISO CP 03 21: the commercial percentage applies per occurrence, separately to each building and its business personal property, using the limit for that property or its stated value when blanket coverage applies.
